Saydali Abdi Hussein (Sayga Haaji) Visits Konis Stadium and Encourages Women in Sports
Saydali Abdi Hussein (Sayga Haaji), Head of Foreign Affairs and International Relations of the Gaashaan Party, today visited Konis Stadium in Mogadishu, where he met with female football players during a sports engagement visit.
During the visit, Sayga Haaji praised the athletes for their dedication, discipline, and strong commitment to developing their sporting careers, despite the challenges they face.
He encouraged the young female players to continue pursuing their passion in football and to represent their communities with pride and determination.
Speaking at the stadium, Sayga Haaji highlighted the importance of supporting women’s participation in sports as a key element of empowerment, inclusion, and youth development.
He noted that investment in women’s sports can help create opportunities, build confidence, and strengthen social cohesion across the country.
The players also shared their experiences, challenges, and aspirations, particularly regarding access to training facilities, equipment, and competitive opportunities.
The visit concluded with a friendly interaction and a photo session between Sayga Haaji and the players on the stadium pitch.
