Najiib A. Farah Holds Talks With EU and UN Delegation on Somalia’s Electoral Process

Abdimajid Abdilahi Farah (Najiib A. Farah) received a high-level delegation representing the European Union and the United Nations at the headquarters of the Somali Society Party in Mogadishu for discussions on Somalia’s electoral process and ongoing political developments.

During the meeting, Najiib A. Farah and the visiting delegation exchanged views on the country’s electoral process, with particular attention to the importance of dialogue and consultation among political stakeholders.

The discussions focused on ways to address outstanding political issues through consensus, dialogue and mutual understanding, while seeking peaceful solutions to areas of disagreement surrounding the electoral process.

Farah emphasized the importance of continued engagement between Somali political actors and international partners in supporting an inclusive and peaceful political process.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on current political developments and the challenges facing Somalia as stakeholders work toward advancing the country’s electoral agenda.

The EU and UN representatives discussed the importance of constructive political dialogue and continued consultations among Somali stakeholders as efforts continue to resolve differences and reach mutually acceptable solutions.

Najiib A. Farah said that dialogue and consensus remain essential to addressing political disagreements and supporting a peaceful electoral process in Somalia.
